At Bood, we believe women deserve to feel heard, empowered and informed about their health - without the fluff. That’s why we’ve launched Women, Naturally - a new mini-podcast series exploring real topics around women’s wellness with experts who get it.
In our first episode, Bood’s very own Corey sits down with the brilliant Dr. Rumbi Mutenga, a medical doctor and founder of Glacie Health, a women’s health consultancy that’s changing the game.
Together, they dive into the conversations too often left out of the spotlight – from hormone imbalances and gut health to why so many women feel dismissed by traditional healthcare.
💬 “Symptoms aren’t random, they’re your body talking.”
Dr. Rumbi shares that many women are told “everything looks normal” - even when they don’t feel normal. Symptoms like bloating, fatigue, anxiety, and irregular cycles are brushed off or medicated, without exploring the root cause.
“So much of our healthcare system focuses on fixing problems, rather than preventing them,” she explains.
“Functional medicine asks: why is this happening? It looks at your whole system, gut, hormones, stress, environment – to support you more holistically.”
Why prevention matters more than ever 🌿
Instead of waiting for things to break down, Dr. Rumbi advocates for preventative care and daily habits that support the body naturally - like good nutrition, stress management, quality sleep, and herbal supplements.
“There’s a lot of misinformation out there,” Corey says. “We wanted to create a space for real talk and honest insights and that’s what Women, Naturally is all about.”
