From Saint Lucia to the Emirates: Why This Partnership Matters

When Arsenal announced Saint Lucia as its Official Destination Partner, it felt like more than another sporting collaboration.

For us at BOOD, it was a moment of pride.

Saint Lucia is part of our heritage and an important part of the story behind our brand. To see the island celebrated on such a global platform is a powerful reminder of how far Caribbean culture, identity and influence continue to reach.Saint Lucia and Arsenal official partnership signing ceremony with representatives seated at a branded table in a football locker room.

Saint Lucia Steps Onto a Global Stage

The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority has entered into a multi-year partnership with Arsenal Football Club, beginning with the 2026/27 season.

Through the partnership, Saint Lucia will be showcased to millions of football supporters around the world. The island will receive visibility at Emirates Stadium, across Arsenal’s men’s and women’s matches, and through the club’s international digital platforms.

This will introduce more people to Saint Lucia’s natural beauty, vibrant culture, events and communities—but the collaboration is about more than encouraging people to visit.

It is also about creating opportunities.

Supporting the Next Generation

One of the most meaningful parts of the partnership is the planned development of an Arsenal Academy Hub in Saint Lucia.

The initiative aims to provide young players on the island with access to mentoring and development opportunities, helping them build their talent, confidence and sense of possibility.

For young Saint Lucians to see a pathway between their home and one of the world’s most recognised football clubs could have an impact far beyond the pitch.

It tells them that where they come from should never limit where they can go.

Why Representation Like This Matters

Caribbean islands are often presented to the world solely as holiday destinations. Their beaches and landscapes deserve to be celebrated, but there is so much more to these islands than the view.

Saint Lucia has a rich history, a distinct culture and generations of people whose creativity, determination and influence extend far beyond its shores.

Partnerships like this can give the island greater visibility while helping its people and culture remain part of the story.

It means Saint Lucian children can see their home represented on an international stage. It gives members of the diaspora another reason to celebrate their roots. And it allows new audiences to discover the people, traditions and spirit behind the destination.

From Saint Lucia to the UK

BOOD was built in the UK, but our Saint Lucian roots run through everything we do.

Our family’s journey, the values passed down by our grandparents and our connection to the Caribbean have all helped shape the business we are building today.

BOOD has always been about more than what is inside the jar. It is about heritage, community, wellbeing and creating something that the generations before us would be proud to see.

That is why this collaboration feels personal.

Seeing Saint Lucia’s name alongside Arsenal shows what can happen when local identity meets global opportunity. It celebrates an island that may be small in size, but has never been small in spirit, culture or ambition.

A Proud Moment for Saint Lucia

The Arsenal and Saint Lucia partnership may begin with football and tourism, but its potential reaches much further.

It can introduce the island to new audiences, support aspiring young players and strengthen the connection between Saint Lucia and its global community.

For us, it is also another opportunity to celebrate where we come from.

From Saint Lucia to London—and now to the Emirates—the island continues to make its presence felt.

And we will always be proud to carry a little piece of it with us.

Saint Lucia’s story is reaching a global audience—and this is only the beginning.
